Besides the upcoming Fable: The Journey, it seems that Microsoft and Lionhead are preparing another project, in the form of Fable Heroes, a downloadable title that’s actually a cooperative-focused adventure game.
The Fable series has impressed quite a lot of Xbox 360 owners in recent years, even if technical issues plagued its iterations.
Still, the team at Lionhead is continuing to produce more titles in the series, like with the already announced Fable: The Journey, which is out later this year for the Xbox 360 and its Kinect sensor.
Now, at least according to a leaked listing on the Xbox.com website, another Fable game is also in the works, in the form of Fable Heroes.
As you can see in the screenshots below, the game is focused on cooperative action, allowing players to go on all sorts of adventures while defeating their enemies or playing different types of mini-games.
They can also fight against others in brawling sessions, all in order to collect gold coins and upgrade their characters or items.
Check out the description that accompanied the screenshots of the game below.
“Fable Heroes is a fresh spin on the beloved Fable franchise in which up to 4 players play both cooperatively and competitively in this hack-and-slash adventure. Work together as heroes of Albion to defeat familiar foes and new enemies while collecting as many gold coins as possible to unlock upgrades, characters, and items in both this game and Fable: The Journey for Kinect for Xbox 360.”
The game will be a downloadable experience that might appear later this year on the Xbox Live Arcade. Given the fact that Fable: The Journey will be out in fall, you can expect Fable Heroes to arrive at the beginning of summer, for example.
No other details are known right now, but fans should expect an official confirmation soon enough from Microsoft and Lionhead.
Until then, check out the screenshots below.
