This is a good day to be a Halo 3 fan. Actually, today, Halo 3 fans just became aware of what's coming, so technically, this isn't 'the happiest day' for them. Not that they're not happy with just playing one of the best games in the world... Yeah, I've lost it. So here goes: three new multiplayer maps launch on the 11th of December this year, as part of the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3 - the first in a series
of downloadable content set for Xbox LIVE release.

According to Bungie and Microsoft Game Studios, each map presents a totally different play style, while each will be available for 800 Microsoft Points each, exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace:

Standoff - a symmetrical valley: its entrenched bases and fields of boulders are ideal for mid-sized objective and Slayer game types.

Rat's Nest - vast, labyrinthine passages bring something new to the Halo multiplayer experience: an indoor vehicle paradise, strongly influenced by the Campaign mode, ideal for big team battles.

Foundry - the ultimate Forge map: players can edit every single object in this voluminous industrial warehouse, place stairways, walls, bridges and tunnels to create an entirely new play space and build almost any kind of map they can think of.

And, as every Halo 3 fan would expect, the Forge also allows players to edit and customize all three maps. Now, as a Halo 3 fan, I'm sure you're already aware that if your game is interesting enough, or whatever contribution you bring to the Halo 3 online multiplayer experience makes a difference, Bungie awards Halo 3 Recon Armors. Well, probably not just that but they'll award you for sure, so as soon as you get your hands on the three new maps, be sure to let creativity kick in.

Remember, the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3 launches via Xbox LIVE Marketplace in Spring 2008, just prior to the next wave of all new "Halo 3" multiplayer maps.

I think this is possibly the best time to buy the maps. Both heroic and Legendary are great for your experience. I am just going to buy an 360 myself and I am going to buy a Halo 3 and the Heroic map before I buy Legendary, because I have to ease myself into the experience. Also, I won't have enough money to buy the card, however I would appreciate if someone would help me join the world of Xbox. I will be traveling to my dad's soon, and I need to have a great time with him, and he likes to play games just as I do. However, he only has a PS2, so I would like to get a 360 to send to him ahead of time. PLEEEZZ send me some money. Foward it to 945, David Lane, Brookfield, OH. Thank you!

PS. I like the Foundry map alot. Peace out, Bungie.
