A brand new mobile software solution is now available for the owners of handsets that run under Google's Android operating system, namely the FOX News application. Fox News can already be enjoyed on handsets powered by a series of other mobile platforms and, starting with Wednesday, July 14, it is also available for Android-based mobile phones.
According to the company,
the new solution is meant to offer users the possibility to access the latest headlines via the simple touch of a button. Made available for download for free, the new application comes with Fox News alerts with breaking developments on the most important stories of the day, with news from the United States and from all around the world, and more.

With the FOX News Android App - receive FOX News Alerts, read headlines, news stories, stream the latest video clips, listen to FOX News Radio, and browse through photo galleries, all for FREE!”
The new FOX News Android App also includes features like Fox News talk radio, photos and video, while packing a shows sections where users can access highlights from Fox programs. According to Ross Rubin, executive director of Industry Analysis for NPD Group, news breaks 24 hours a day, and users are becoming increasingly fond of opening their browsers or an application to access the latest headlines. Not to mention that more and more people are doing this straight from their
mobile devices.
“A recent PEW study found that over one-third of smartphone owners get their news on a
mobile device. The market research company comScore says there are nearly 50 million smartphone users in the U.S,” the company notes. The The Fox News application has been made available for a free download via the Android Market.
