FL Studio Groove is an app that allows Windows 8.1 users to make their own music with professional tools right in the Modern UI of their operating system and thanks to a new version released today, MIDI controllers are also supported.

The new version, which requires Windows 8.1 Update, also allows users to link a parameter of a MIDI controller by moving it and clicking ‘Link’ located on the upper right of the interface, while the keyboard now has Pitch Bend and ModWheel controls.

At the same time, the tempo control has been changed for easier access from a slider to a jog wheel, while the instrument channels can be renamed without saving. Last but not least, the playlist now supports lopping, so you can double tap, hold, and drag it along the lower-time bar.

“FL Studio Groove allows you to create professional sounding music in just minutes. Or perhaps you just want to lay down a percussion track and play keyboards over the top, you can do that too,” the description of the app published in the store reads.

Overall, this is clearly an update that should come in handy no matter what device you're using, so download FL Studio Groove for Windows 8.1 right now to see what's new.
