The developers working on the FIFA franchise at EA Sports announce that they are preparing a free-to-play PC-only installment that will be launched in November of this year.

The catch is that FIFA World will only be launched for gamers in Brazil and Russia, who lack consoles to access the core series but are interested in a solid football simulation.

Developers say that the game will run on average computers, including laptops, with mechanics that are primarily focused on the Ultimate Team mode.

30 leagues from all over the world with 600 clubs, all with official licenses, including all the Russian Premier League and 19 clubs from Brazil, are included.

Matt Bilbey, the general manager of the EA Sports group, is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “Brazil and Russia are priority markets for EA SPORTS and especially our FIFA brand. We are excited to bring to these markets a custom-built, free-to-play PC experience developed around FIFA Ultimate Team.”

A beta stage for FIFA World will be offered early in the fall.

A free-to-play FIFA title is already available on the Korean market and it will also get versions for Southeast Asia and mainland China.

The two games will not connect to each other in any way for the foreseeable future.

They also have no relation to FIFA 14, the full-fledged game that is headed to current-gen consoles and the PC on September 24 in North America and September 27 in Europe.

The simulation will include new features linked to ball physics, tactics and the intelligence of players.

Major changes are also made to the Ultimate Team mode, which will be more social and will allow for more tactical options.

FIFA 14 will also be launched on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 with support for the new Ignite engine.
