Electronic Arts' Sports division has just confirmed that it's going to take down for maintenance the FIFA Ultimate Team 13 service, after a rather lengthy period of unavailability yesterday.

FIFA 13 broke sales records back in September when it was released across a variety of platforms, from the PC to the PS3, Xbox 360, and much more.

Without a doubt, one of its most successful features is the FIFA Ultimate Team, which has spawned dedicated applications that allow users to interact with the service anywhere they are.

Sadly, yesterday EA had to take down the whole service because of some complications with the trade pile and now it has just confirmed that FIFA Ultimate Team would once again be taken offline, this time for general maintenance.

According to the FIFA Twitter account, the service will be unavailable between 12am and 2am PT (8am and 10am GMT).

Given how profitable the FIFA Ultimate Team feature has been, you can expect EA to make all sorts of efforts in order to prevent any glitches from disturbing the experience.
