FIFA Street Will Be a Great Football Experience

FIFA Street has not been a great success for EA Sports in its previous incarnations, but the developers working on the reboot believe that marrying the concepts to the FIFA 12 engine is a recipe for success.

Sid Misra, who is a producer working on FIFA Street, told GameSpot that, “This is a reboot of the FIFA Street franchise, so what you know of FIFA Street 1, 2 and 3, you can forget about it. What we really wanted to do is come out with the first truly great street football experience.”

He added, “So we wanted really to create a game that had that depth that was missing in the games of the past. This is the first game that’s going to be built by members of the FIFA team on the FIFA engine.”

The new FIFA Street will be launched in March 2012 on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
