FIFA Street Gets Pre-Order Bonus Based on Lionel Messi

After confirming that it has just signed FC Barcelona soccer player Lionel Messi to be the global face of its FIFA franchise, Electronic Arts has just presented a special pre-order incentive for its upcoming FIFA Street title based on the Argentinian star.

FIFA Street was confirmed back at Gamescom 2011 in August, and, since then, we’ve gotten to see quite a lot of impressive screenshots and videos of the game in action.

After hearing and seeing that Lionel Messi will star on the cover of the game, fans are now treated with a special pre-order bonus that centers on the famous football player, and includes a special Adidas-branded all-star team, as well as special venues and environments from Barcelona.

“EA Sports is celebrating the transfer signing of Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi with a special pre-order incentive for FIFA Street, launching at retail worldwide in March 2012,” the company said. “Fans who pre-order FIFA Street from leading retailers around the world will receive exclusive in-game access to an Adidas all-star team featuring Messi and 12 of the greatest footballers in the world.”

“The pre-order offer also includes exclusive access to the Lionel Messi Barcelona venue, an environment inspired by street footballers playing in and around the Plaça de Catalunya in the historic center of Barcelona, that Messi himself helped design.”

This pre-order bonus will be available through a variety of retailers from all around the world, so players need to get in touch with their local stores after the winter holidays to see where they can take advantage of it.
