FIFA Street, the EA Sports made football title that focuses on trick heavy street games, has managed to get a second week at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart, beating out determined challenges from one new launch and an already established title.

FIFA Street is based on the FIFA 12 game engine, but it eliminates sliding tackles and gives the player many more options when it comes to dribbles and attacking options in order to create a more spectacular and much quicker game.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City from publisher Capcom, a new release for the week, has managed to take second place in the United Kingdom chart, despite the pretty negative reviews it has received since launch.

The last place on the podium was taken over by Mass Effect 3, the hybrid between role-playing game and action from BioWare and Electronic Arts, a game that has slid down one place from second.

FIFA 12, the football title that recently received a winter update with all the relevant transfers, and SSX, the snowboarding simulation, have taken over fourth and fifth places, giving publisher EA 4 out of the 5 top spots.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the first-person shooter from Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard, has made a remarkable comeback to occupy sixth place after languishing in tenth last week, probably because of the new content drop, while Kid Icarus: Uprising, from Nintendo, has managed to launch in seventh place.

Battlefield 3, the FPS from DICE and Electronic Arts, occupies eight place while F1 2011 has profited from the start of the 2012 season in order to give Codemasters ninth position in the United Kingdom top ten.

The chart is closed down by Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games from SEGA.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Mario Party 9, RAGE and Zumba Fitness are out of the top ten.
