FIFA Street, the football game from EA Sports that emphasizes tricks and innovative plays on smaller playing fields, has managed to return to the top position in the United Kingdom video game chart for the week that ended on April 15.

FIFA Street is created using the same core engine as FIFA 12, which EA Sports launched in late September 2011, and the reboot has managed to take advantage of the relative lack of big releases in April to lead the chart once again.

Mass Effect 3, the action and role-playing mix from BioWare and Electronic Arts, has managed to also gain one place over the previous seven-day period in order to take second spot, after managing to sell more than 2 million units during its first month on sale all over the world.

Publisher Electronic Arts will be happy with the fact that FIFA 12 is occupying the last place on the podium, meaning that the company has taken all the leading position in the United Kingdom.

Kinect Star Wars, the first motion tracking game to spend a week at the top of the chart, has slid down three places in order to land in fourth for LucasArts and Microsoft.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, yet another EA Sports title, is in fifth place while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, from Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard, has managed to hold on to sixth place.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the Bethesda-made open world action role-playing game, has climbed up three places in order to occupy seventh place, as the developers have announced that they will introduce support for Kinect this week.

Battlefield 3, from DICE and Electronic Arts, is in eighth place while Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games from SEGA is in ninth.

The United Kingdom top ten is closed down by SSX, the snowboard simulation.
