EA Sports has announced that it is working on FIFA Manager 2011, a new entry in its football management simulation, set to be released this year in order to celebrate the fact that ten years have passed since the series was first been tried out by gamers. The developers are promising they will be introducing a variety of new features to the game to make players feel as close as possible to real-life managers.

EA Sports is trying both to make the title deeper and to allow players who are not familiarized with the series to get into it quicker. The tactics system has been improved taking into account how real players follow instructions from their trainers and the transfer market is now more realistic, taking more time to settle on deals. EA Sports is also introducing an extended online mode, which will presumably only be accessible using an Online Pass.

FIFA Manager 11 introduces a World Cup mode that can be accessed separately from the main game and other changes include: a new pitch presentation screen that allows instructions to quickly be given to individual players and the overall team, new cup draws, a fresh player level system and a special treatment for derby level matches.

Gerald Köhler, who is the lead designer working on the FIFA Manager series, stated when the announcement was made, “We want to provide our fans with a completely unique football management experience in this anniversary year for the franchise with all the great new innovations that reflect actual real life football management included in FIFA MANAGER 11. We are very proud that we are now developing our tenth FIFA MANAGER game in succession. This would not have been possible without the support of our superb and still growing fan base.”
