The 24 finalists of the FIFA Interactive World Cup will this year fly to the Jumeirah beach Hotel in Dubai in order to participate in the competition between May 21 and 23, after the same contest was staged in Los Angeles last year and in Barcelona in 2010.

The official ambassador for the FIFA Interactive World Cup is real world champion Christian Karembeu, who stated, “I am delighted to be a part of this year’s FIWC Grand Final. The tournament gives football fans all over the globe the opportunity to become a real FIFA World Champion. The fact that over 1,000,000 players have taken part in this year’s tournament is astonishing and just goes to show how popular the FIWC is with football fans.”

Karembeu will himself be involved in FIFA 12 matches with the 24 finalists who will battle for the ultimate prize in virtual football.

The winner of the competition will be invited to the Ballon d’Or 2012 ceremony and will take home a prize of 20,000 dollars (15,243 Euro).
