The development team at EA Sports working on FIFA 15 announces that it has not managed to reach a long-term agreement with some rights holders in Brazil, which means that gamers will be unable to have access to an official league for the country in the upcoming football sim.

The company explains in an official announcement that “While this is unfortunate news for many of our fans, we were able to retain the Brazil National Team in FIFA 15 as well as the Brazilian stars that play in other top leagues around the world. Thanks for your understanding as we continue to keep the lines of communication open with the Brazilian rights holders.”

This basically means that the likes of Neymar or Thiago Silva will be fully simulated and licensed in FIFA 15, but gamers will be unable to play as some of the exciting talent that’s currently still attached to teams inside Brazil.

EA Sports adds, “We have been revealing exciting details and announcing all the great new features coming up for FIFA 15. But it’s equally important that we keep you informed of other changes to the game from FIFA 14, including details on the leagues and players you play with across EA Sports FIFA titles.”

More information about licenses for the coming title will be offered before Gamescom 2014.

Recently, it was revealed that FIFA 15 would get a better representation of the Italian league and all the teams associated with it, with more scans for player bodies and faces and well simulated stadiums.

EA Sports has also recently launched a major new trailer for the video game, which shows off the new agility and control system that the title will use.

The improved Ignite engine means that gamers will have more options when using the ball and that momentum and spin will be better represented in the game.

Defenders also have more options to use their strength in order to win duels with attackers, and there are more ways to use modifiers in order to deliver long-range passes and shots on goal.

The new title will also include overall smarter players, a bigger focus on the emotions of fans and changes to the Ultimate Mode that will be revealed at a later date.

FIFA 15 will be out in late September on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, last-gen consoles and mobile devices.
