The development team at EA Sports working on FIFA 15 announces that it is getting ready to launch a range of new measures linked to the football simulation series that are designed to eliminate cheaters and bots and to make the entire experience more enjoyable for gamers who are playing by the rules.

The official announcement says that the new initiatives will target " things like overloading servers, phishing and compromising other player accounts, and participating in the unauthorized exchange of virtual currency. It’s time for us to draw a clear and strong line against cheaters who negatively impact the FIFA experience for our millions of players online."

EA Sports says that in the Ultimate Team mode bots make more searches and transfer bids than humanly possible, and that can overload the system and make it impossible for humans to search or to get the player that they want for their rosters.

Both the use of bots and selling and buying coins in Ultimate Team in FIFA 15 will be considered cheating, and the company has a clear process for the ban of all those detected to be breaking the rules of the game.

Gamers will also be banned if they promote coins selling services but all those who feel they have been wronged can choose to file an appeal.

EA Sports adds, "Our main goal is to counteract bots and resolve in-game exploits used to farm coins. This is an on-going process but the wheels are already in motion. Our team is constantly investigating ways to track them and keep them out of FUT."

On the PC, bans will also be issued for those who record false match results in FIFA 15 Ultimate Team and better protection is also being planned for the Pro Club mode and the The FIFA Interactive World Cup.

EA Sports has also offered two images, attached to this article, that show the effects of cheating and how the ban process will work in the future.

In FIFA 15, the Ultimate Team mode is designed to introduce a range of new features, including Concept Squads and player loans, and presumably cheaters will quickly find ways to exploit them for their own benefit if the development team does not deliver solid anti-cheating measures.

The game will be launched in late September on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and last-gen consoles.
