The development team at EA Sports says that the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Web App will soon require Login Verification for all those who use it, with the measure designed to make sure that all access attempts are legitimate and come from the actual players who have created the accounts.

In an official article on the support site of publisher Electronic Arts, the company states that the process that gamers will need to deal with involves:

"- Turn on your Login Verification information. Go here to update.

You will only have to do this once, and it will work across all EA games that use Login Verification.

- If you choose Email rather than SMS, make sure your account email is a valid, working email address (one you check often). Go here to change your Origin account’s email address.

- Lastly, you will need to create or verify your FIFA Ultimate Team Secret question and answer. Go here to reset your FUT Secret q & a."

The Login Verification for FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Web App will not be included when it goes live on Wednesday, September 17, and the team at EA Sports is not yet ready to say when the feature will be turned on.

Trying to keep out cheaters

The changes that EA Sports is introducing to the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Web App seem to be mainly designed to make sure that no cheaters are able to access the accounts and then do something irreversible that will affect both the original owner and the structure of the game.

The development team is also saying that all those who are planning to cheat in the new installment of the football series will be issued bans as fast as possible in order to make sure that the minority does not affect the enjoyment of the rest of the community.

Ultimate Team is a money maker

EA Sports needs to try and keep the Ultimate Team for FIFA 15 as fair as possible because the mode has become very popular in the last few years and has created an important revenue stream for publisher Electronic Arts.

FIFA 15 is set to be playable for gamers in the United States on September 23 and in Europe on September 25, and the platforms on which it will be available include the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and last-gen consoles.
