FIFA 15, EA Sports' insanely popular football video game, has just received its first post-launch update on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home consoles.

Developer EA Sports is dedicated to ironing out all the kinks in its game, as well as to eliminating the issues that the community has reported so far, most notably the stuttering issues revealed by some users.

The developer has posted a blog entry on the game's official forums, showcasing the patch notes and announcing that the update is live, and that the team is aware of the issues some users are complaining about.

"We believe we have made progress in our on-going investigation of the stuttering issues currently affecting a small percentage of PS4 users. If you're affected by this issue please you can help us with our investigation by providing details to @EASPORTSFIFA on Twitter," the post reads.

The first update addresses some of the most glaring issues reported

EA Sports has revealed that the update fixes a bunch of problems reported by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners, most notably the search-by-name function in Career Mode.

In addition to this, the developer added a latency indicator to FIFA 15 Ultimate Team, enabling fans to view the health of their connection before entering online matches.

Other quality of life improvements include corrected home crowds in Match Day Live matches and improved set-piece cameras in Online Seasons for Guest players.

EA Sports also fixed occurrences where changes to the Subs and/or Reserves are not brought into Season matches and where the player would be unable to progress at the end of an FUT match, due to the post-match menus not showing up.

An exploit where players could indefinitely switch kick-takers on set-pieces has been addressed, and now the hospitality upgrades in Career Mode and Pro Clubs work as intended.

EA Sports pledges to continue post-launch support

The changes made to FIFA 15 are based on the feedback provided by the community since the football video game's launch in September. The developer rolled the update to the PC version of the title last week.

"Our commitment to improve the FIFA 15 experience is ongoing, and regular feedback from our fans helps us prioritize and identify future improvements. Thanks again for your continuous feedback on Twitter, Facebook, and the EA Forums," the developer states on the forums.

The patch for the PC version of FIFA 15 also addressed some specific issues, where non-user controlled players would run to the kick-off circle at the beginning of a match, or where players weren't able to progress through the Virtual Pro creation process.
