The fan community for FIFA 15 has been talking about the Team of the Season release for Ultimate Team for a few months now, but it seems that the development team at EA Sports is at the moment delaying its release in order to make more security-focused changes.

The announcement comes from the official site of the game and explains that the studio has been working hard to keep the popular game mode both fun and fair in the long term.

EA Sports adds, "It’s all about ensuring a level playing field for all FUT fans, especially during great events like Team of the Season (TOTS), and continuing our work to halt the negative effects of coin farmers and cheaters who hurt your FUT experience. Although we’ve seen significant improvement in limiting fraudulent coin exploits over the past few weeks, our work isn’t done here."

The delay does not come with an update regarding the new release window for the Team of the Season for the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 15.

The company will compensate the community by introducing a range of new content, which will be focused on the Player of the Year award, clubs that have been promoted, and the coming battle to avoid relegation.

There's no info on when the new Ultimate Team elements will be introduced in FIFA 15.

The mode might receive some more core tweaks in the coming months

Ultimate Team is the most popular multiplayer mode for the FIFA series, and the company has suggested that it will tweak some of its core mechanics in the coming months.

Their intention seems to be to test a range of changes that might then be part of the next installment in the franchise.

EA Sports aims to make sure that Ultimate Team is as safe as possible for those who use it and that no one is tempted to try and buy coins in order to get access to content.

The planned changes include the introduction of more events that in turn can offer access to either funds or solid players.

EA Sports is also continuing to tweak the Price Range for the most important footballers in order to try and make sure that committed players can get access to them.
