FIFA suspended Luis Suarez after he bit defender Giorgio Chiellini during a match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil

Uruguayan football star Luis Suarez is known to have quite an appetite, one that would make him feel at home in the midst of Fallout: New Vegas' White Glove Society.

His latest attempt to take a bite out of an Italian defender at this summer's World Cup resulted in him being promptly banned by FIFA from all football activities until the end of October, and the ban apparently also extends to FIFA 15, EA Sports' video game.

While the game's development team pledged its commitment to realism over and over, nobody expected things to be this serious. Searches for Luis Suarez on the transfer market in FIFA 15 Ultimate Team return no result, and players who take up the reins of FC Barcelona, the striker's new team, receive an email stating that Suarez is suspended, being unavailable for selection until October 26.

The player is, however, available in exhibition matches, although starting out on the bench by default, with Match Day Experience mode switched on.

In any case, Suarez will no doubt prove to be a popular selection once his suspension wears off, as EA Sports rated him the seventh-best player in the whole world, sitting at an overall rating of 89 in Ultimate Team. Hopefully, the dev team's intention to provide a more immersive gameplay experience won't mean that we have to map out a button for biting while using the Uruguayan striker.
