Different types of fans of the FIFA series will take different paths towards victory and the development team working on the next installment in the football franchise aims to cater to them all with its player ratings and mechanical design.

The studio has already spoken about the way fast players can influence the game, with Mathis Bolly the best of the bunch, and now the developers are offering more information about players who rely on strength and on physical attributes to dominate their opponents.

The company states, “Strength players are rated on their ability to overpower and hold-off the opposition. Physical is a new base attribute to FIFA Ultimate Team that is a measure of key physical traits such as Strength, Stamina, and Jumping. These players are able to win the physical battles on the pitch and maintain their fitness throughout a full match.”

A focus on the physical side of the game

FIFA 15 will use an entirely new engine on both the PC and current-gen consoles, which will include an updated take on the physics for both the ball, the players and the interactions between them.

Basically, more realism will be present and those members of a team who are strong will be able to better stop attacks or hold off defenders, as long as the gamer uses them in the right way and they link up well with teammates.

The most physical player in FIFA 15 is called Jelle Van Damme and plays as a left back. The leader in the strength category is Akinfenwa, who plays as a striker.

FIFA 15 aims for longevity

FIFA 15 aims to deliver yet another installment in the series that scores high with critics and is played by fans year around.

The development team at EA Sports says that all the main modes, including Career and quick matches, have been revamped in interesting ways and there are more options that can be used in Ultimate Mode.

The football simulation will also benefit from updates which reflect the form of all players in major championships, which means that all the ratings that are at the moment revealed can be modified significantly as the season progresses.

FIFA 15 is set to arrive on September 23 in North America and on September 25 in Europe and can be played on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and last-gen consoles.
