Video game developer EA Sports and platform holder Sony announce that they are working together in order to launch a new bundle for the upcoming FIFA 15 which includes a PlayStation Vita handheld for the price of 199 Euro (278 dollars).

The new package will be offered only in Europe and in Turkey, and it is unclear whether it will ever be offered on the United States market.

The FIFA 15 version offered on the Vita is a legacy one, which means that the core game engine has not been updated in some years but gamers will be able to get access to new kits for the teams, updated rosters, and some improvements to the modes.

FIFA 15 will also be offered on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, where it is powered by an entirely new engine, and on last-gen devices.

The Vita has not managed to sell the number of copies that Sony was expecting and it will be interesting to see if a bundle pushes up sales of the device.

Fans of the football simulation have criticized the newly revealed package and have suggested that Sony would be better served by making the Vita more important to the gameplay of FIFA 15 on the PlayStation 4 home console.
