The fall launch season for AAA video games is in full swing, but a look at the United Kingdom weekly games chart shows that one title that has been available for close to one month is still at the top and shows no signs of slowing down.

FIFA 15, the EA Sports-made football simulation, has managed to once again be the best-selling experience in the country and has benefited from the fact that the development team has delivered a major first update for it on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The popularity of the game is also enhanced by the fact that the Premier League is in full swing and many gamers are currently trying to replicate or even surpass the achievements of the clubs that they are supporting in the real world.

At the moment, FIFA 15 is affected by a problem with player transfers, which the development team is investigating and plans to solve as soon as possible.

Second place in the United Kingdom has been occupied by a new entry, The Evil Within, the survival horror experience created by Shinjim Mikami and Tango Gameworks which was published by Bethesda.

The game is designed to offer a single-player campaign that resembles the classic titles in the genre, and for the week that ended on October 20, it has managed to move more copies to gamers than Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, the shooter experience that was launched by 2K Games.

Outside of the top three, changes are limited

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, the open world combat-focused title from Warner Bros. Interactive and Monolith, is in fourth place, dropping just one position when compared to the previous week, according to UKIE.

Forza Horizon 2, the Xbox One exclusive racing experience, is in fifth place and also drops one position, and sits ahead of Alien: Isolation, the horror title from The Creative Assembly that was in second position during the previous seven-day period.

Destiny has also lost one place to reach seventh, and the continuing issues with the online gameplay mean that DriveClub, the racing game for the PlayStation 4, is in eighth place.

The PlayStation edition of Minecraft is in ninth and the United Kingdom top ten is closed down by another new entry, F1 2014 from Codemasters.

It will be interesting to see whether FIFA 15 is able to stay at the top once Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches on November 4.
