Gamers are asking for a straight price cut for packs

Black Friday is here and the custom that started in the United States has been spreading to Europe and online at lightning speed. Today, gamers who like to spend time with the Ultimate Team mode of FIFA 15 will be able to pick up some special Mega 35K packs which are supposed to be launched every three hours and will only be offered in limited quantities.

The studio is not saying whether it will be offering any kind of special players in the coming packs gamers can purchase.

The image used on the official Twitter account suggests that the new Black Friday deals will offer gamers a chance to pick up David De Gea, the goalkeeper from Manchester United who has been in solid form this past few weeks, Paul Pogba, the young and very energetic midfielder from Juventus, and of course, cover star and record breaker Lionel Messi, the heart of the current Barcelona team.

The reaction to the announcement has been less than kind, with plenty of gamers asking EA Sports to introduce price cuts for all Ultimate Team content on Black Friday or to focus its energies on changing aspects of the game that fans believe are unrealistic.

The Team of the Week package delivered to FIFA 15 fans earlier in the week is also led by Lionel Messi, and there are also a slew of solid supporting players.

FIFA 15 has continuously evolving gameplay mechanics

Also this week, the team at EA Sports has introduced the third major title update for the football simulation on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The major changes to gameplay are linked to the success of lobbed passes and to the way gamers position themselves on the defensive, although no clear details were offered on the way the game should play after the update.

There are also bug fixes and other improvements to the likenesses of the players included in newly promoted Premier League teams.

The company has also suggested on the official forums that it does not plan to make any major changes to FIFA 15 before the end of the year, but in February gamers can expect a title update that will reflect the moves that take place in the real world in the January transfer window.

A Holiday edition of the game is also offered and gives gamers access to Messi as a loan from the start in Ultimate Team and more EA coins to spend as they wish.
