The company will make all demo versions free on all platforms

Some of the demo versions for popular EA Sports-made simulation titles, including UFC and FIFA 14, were updated to have an official price of 4.99 Australian dollars or 3.99 British Pounds earlier during the day, but the publisher says this is just an error that should be corrected soon.

Reports from both Australian and UK gamers have talked about the weird prices for demos, which are supposed to be free in order to allow players to sample the core gameplay mechanics of a title before paying for it.

Polygon quotes an official representative of the company as saying that an automated price-processing system is responsible for the changes, and that the publisher is working to eliminate them for all platforms and territories.

FIFA 14 was launched in September of last year and has been recently updated to offer 2014 Brazil World Cup content for both the Kick-Off and the Ultimate Team modes.

A sequel is currently in development and a demo for it will probably be offered about two weeks before the launch date.

EA Sports UFC was launched for next-gen consoles at the middle of June and allows gamers to experience a complex simulation of the sport that is powered by the Ignite engine.
