The development team at EA Sports announces that it plans to deliver a day one patch for the Xbox One version of FIFA 14 that is designed to deal with two major problems, one associated with the new controller of the home console and another linked to bootflow.

The studio explains on the official site that when using two separate controllers linked to two different player profiles, gamers can cause a crash in FIFA 14 when they use the second one to navigate the bootflow of the game.

EA Sports says, “The FIFA dev team will be fixing this issue as soon as possible (shortly after launch) but, in the meantime and as a workaround: please only use controller one to navigate the bootflow of FIFA 14. You can turn on and use the controller two once in the main menu.”

Another problem is that gamers who let the console go into sleep mode on the title screen will be unable to access any of the online features of FIFA 14 when they activate that device again.

The only way to work around the problem is to never allow it to suspend activity or simply restart it in order to access all the game’s mechanics.

The EA Sports team is not yet able to say exactly when the day one patch for the Xbox One version of FIFA 14 will be deployed.

The game uses an all new engine on the Microsoft device, called Ignite, designed to allow players to experience more depth, a more vibrant world and players that are smarter than on the PC and on current-gen consoles.

FIFA 14 was first launched in late September and is already a solid hit, with EA Sports committed to delivering patches and updates to deal with any problems that the community discovers.
