The development team at EA Sports announces that the Ultimate Team mode for FIFA 14 is at the moment down for maintenance and will stay that way until 10 AM Greenwich Mean Time so that the studio has the time to tweak some elements of its infrastructure in preparation for the launch of FIFA 15.

The official announcement states, “During this time, FIFA Ultimate Team, FUT Web, the mobile companion app, and EA Sports Football Club will be offline. Online service for all other game modes will be unaffected.”

The studio says that it will provide more info to the community once the maintenance period is done and that it will offer updates on Twitter if it needs more time to complete the changes.

FIFA 15 will be launched at the end of September on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and last-gen consoles.

The Ultimate Team mode is very important for the franchise, and in the coming football sim it will have a number of enhancements, including a new option to loan players in order to use them for a limited period and to create dream teams which can then be gradually translated into reality.

FIFA 15 will also include updated graphics, better core mechanics and an improved simulation for the Barclays Premier League, with all the 20 stadiums carefully recreated.
