The launch of the new football simulation title from EA Sports will take place before the end of the month, and the development team announces that FIFA 14’s Ultimate Team and EA Football Club modes will be taken down for maintenance in order to prepare the infrastructure for the delivery of the new experience.

The period will start at 9:30 AM Greenwich Mean Time and 1:30 AM Pacific Daylight Time and is expected to last for three hours, although changes to the schedule might be made depending on the progress the studio actually makes.

The official announcement states, “During this time, FIFA Ultimate Team, FUT Web, the mobile companion app, and EA SPORTS Football Club will be offline. Online service for all other game modes will be unaffected.”

FIFA 15 will be out on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PC and last-gen consoles on September 23 in the United States and on September 25 in Europe.

The Ultimate Team mode of the new title is designed to allow gamers to use Concept Squads in order to plan the evolution of their team and to loan superstars in order to get a temporary boost.

FIFA 15 will also include smarter teammates, better performances from goalkeepers, and an upgraded presentation.

UPDATE: EA Sports has brought the service back online right on time and gamers can now engage with Ultimate Team once again.
