Video game developer EA Sports announces that it is currently investigating a problem with FIFA 14 that does not allow gamers to connect to the Football Club service, which means that they cannot get rewards for the matches they play and cannot support their favorite team.

The message coming from the official Twitter account of the company also says that the Ultimate Team game mode is not affected at the moment and that an update will be offered when the problem is solved.

Earlier today, EA Sports launched an updated version of Mario Gotze in order to celebrate the victory of Germany in the real life World Cup that took place in Brazil, and the studio also touted the correct prediction that it made in June, when the competition started.

The Football Club for FIFA 14 is a cool idea that allows players to link their game with a club and then contribute to its overall fortunes in a vast online competition, but the feature is not essential to the title.

The company is also working on a new installment in the series, which will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and current-gen consoles before the end of the September.
