Electronic Arts’ Sports division has just posted the first screenshots of FIFA 13 on the Nintendo Wii U platform, showing off the game’s support for the console’s unique GamePad controller.

FIFA 13 is among the Wii U games that will be available at the launch of the device and will no doubt help attract soccer/football fans to the new console.

In order to show FIFA players how the game looks on the Wii U, a batch of fresh screenshots have appeared on the web.

As you can see, during actual gameplay, the Wii U GamePad shows off an overhead view of the pitch and allows players to take control of their squadmates by interacting with the touchscreen.

Players can also adjust their strategies on the fly by using the controller, so FIFA 13 on the Wii U is going to be a very interesting experience.

Unfortunately, neither the Wii U nor its version of FIFA 13 have concrete release dates, but you can still check out the new screenshots below.
