FIFA 13, the football simulation from EA Sports, has managed to beat Resident Evil 6, the action shooter title from Capcom, on the United Kingdom market for the week that ended on October 7.

FIFA 13 continues to lead the video game chart after breaking several records during its first week on sale and the game also managed to become the best-selling sports game the game world has ever seen.

Resident Evil 6 has been both criticized and praised after launch and Capcom has said that it shipped more copies for the title than for any other in its catalogue, which might translate into a lot of sales before the end of the year.

It’s likely that FIFA 13 will continue to dominate the United Kingdom chart until the start of November, when it might be unseated by either Halo 4 from Microsoft or Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 from Activision.

Borderlands 2, the shooter from developer Gearbox and publisher 2K Games, has taken the last position on the United Kingdom podium.

Just Dance 4, the motion driven game from publisher Ubisoft, has performed well during its first week on sale and has taken fourth spot in the chart while F1 2012, the Formula 1 racing simulation from Codemansters, has managed to occupy fifth, sliding down two places since last week.

NBA 2K13 from 2K Sports is not doing great in the United Kingdom, a country that prefers football to basketball, while Rocksmith from Ubisoft seems tied to the seventh place in the United Kingdom chart.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, from Bethesda, has benefited from the launch of the new Hearthfire content to keep eighth place, while Pro Evolution Soccer 2013, from Konami, has dropped from fifth to ninth.

The United Kingdom top ten is closed down by Sleeping Dogs, from Square Enix.
