FIFA 12, the football simulation from the EA Sports division of Electronic Arts, has managed to spend its sixth full week at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart and looks poised to keep it for some time for now, presumably until Mass Effect 3 arrives in early March.

FIFA 12 has been successful because interest for its rivals has vanned after the holidays but the innovations that the developers introduced in the game, like the Player Impact Engine, and the tension in the English championship have also helped the game.

Just Dance 3, the rhythm video game from Ubisoft, has continued its comeback tour and has managed to take second place in the United Kingdom chart after spending last week in fourth place while the final place on the podium has been taken over by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the open world first person mix between action and role playing from Bethesda, which made a jump of two positions from fifth.

Battlefield 3, the first person shooter from DICE and Electronic Arts, has managed to actually place better than its main rival Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, from Activision and Infinity Ward, with the two blockbusters taking fourth and fifth place.

Zumba Fitness and Zumba Fitness 2, both from 505 Games, have managed to tag team sixth and seventh place for the United Kingdom chart while RAGE, the first person shooter from id Software and Bethesda, has taken eight position, up one place over the previous week.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, the open world action game from Ubisoft, has also managed to gain one place in order to land in ninth while Need for Speed: The Run, the racing title from Electronic Arts, is closing down the United Kingdom top ten.

Saints Row: The Third is now out of the top ten.
