The developers at EA Sports have launched a new update for their football simulation FIFA 12, designed mainly to update the roosters of the game in order to reflect the changes to team rosters that have happened during the January 2012 transfer window.

In order to get the new update, gamers need to go through the Menu. Until then get to the Customize FIFA category and then chose the Edit Team option, go forward to Change Squads and then click on Download Updates.

Some of the changes include defender Gary Cahill’s move from Bolton to Chelsea, Louis Saha joining the Tottenham Hotspurs coming from Everton and the move that Bobby Zamora has managed to Fulham to Queens Park Rangers.

Manchester United fans will also be able to put Paul Scholes in their starting line-ups, now that the manager of the team has managed to get the retired midfielder back into action.

The strength of FIFA as a franchise is linked to the fact that it can use the likeness and the names of real-world football stars, and a roster update is designed to keep fans satisfied by making sure that all lineups are as close as possible to the real world.

Recently, the development team at EA Sports that works on the upcoming spin-off FIFA Street has said that the 2013 edition of the core series might borrow some feature from the street-based game, which might suggest more dribbling options and a bigger focus on quick action.

The core strengths of FIFA 12 were the new physics systems and major changes made to both defending and attacking phases of the game.

The update is linked to the version of FIFA 12 on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, which were launched in late September 2011, and to the PlayStation Vita version, which has only been made available on Western markets.
