Three days later in Europe and in Asia

After a lot of rumors, all of them stemming from a retailer listing last week, EA Sports has finally come out and announced that FIFA 11 is set to launch on September 28 in North America and on October 1 in both Asia and in Europe. The dates are a bit earlier than the series used to arrive and, in an ironic twist, North America, an area which is not particularly interested in club competitions, is getting the game ahead of Europe where the best teams play and the best players perform.

EA Sports has also announced that it is introducing a new feature called Creation Centre, a tool that will allow gamers to put together their own players and custom tools by going to the official site of FIFA 11 when the title launches. All the content created can be shared with other players and used in Tournaments and in Kick Off matches.

The big talking point about FIFA 11 is the fact that more realism will be added to the matches by making sure that players, especially the big stars, play as close to possible as they do in real life.

A gifted player like Cristiano Ronaldo will do well on technical moves but will suffer if sent back to get balls from defense where a guy like Xavi might be better suited to the role. The new concept is called Personality+ and will make FIFA 11 a more complex experience.

EA Sports is saying that FIFA 11 will be arriving on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PC, the PlayStation 2, the Nintendo Wii, the PlayStation Portable, the Nintendo DS line up and mobile devices. It seems the publisher doesn't want any of the gaming platforms available to suffer from the lack of a football simulation.
