Looks like EA's soccer simulator still has some breath in it, and tops this year's Christmas chart, even though Need For Speed: Carbon is hot on its trail.
To be honest, I would have expected a whole different Xmas chart, probably one with Gears of War on the first spot followed by
NFS Carbon and a Pokemon game third. But the classification compiled by Chart Track, as regarding Xmas game title sales,
contradicts me completely.
As I've already mentioned, FIFA 07 tops the chart, with Need For Speed: Carbon close behind. What comes as a big surprise is WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 07 who secures the third position. Pro Evolution Soccer occupies a decent place, located at number 4, with Call of Duty 3 right on its back.
The Sims 2: Pets also does well in Xmas sales, securing the 6th place, and what is the biggest disappointment so far, Gears of War, only manages a shameful 7th spot. Right behind is a true "classic" game Happy Feet (number 8), and Lego Star Wars II on the 9th place.
We see the video game adaptation of the movie Cars closing the top ten, followed closely by Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training. Another surprise is that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess occupies only the 12th place even though many of you probably saw it in the top three.
Rockstar games also has a representative in this classification, in the form of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories on the 13th spot (let's hope that this doesn't mean bad luck for Rockstar and Take-Two in their many lawsuits). The second Rockstar game in this classification is
Canis Canem Edit (Bully), which closes the chart at number 20.
