Users may or may not be surprised to hear that the Federal Communications Commission has let out yet another filing, which revealed a product that had not yet lost its as-of-yet unannounced status. After the E6510 and E6410 managed to somehow leak at the beginning of the month, the FCC has now set loose yet another filing, this time revealing the upcoming Dell Latitude E4310 ultraportable laptop, also dubbed Lafite.

Dell's Margaux and Rothschild were revealed to be Intel-powered mobile personal computers (PCs), whose combination of performance and connectivity would likely make them an appealing choice for business end-users when they finally debuted. Those two models were shown to have WiFi, WWAN and a Bluetooth for connectivity, with the Margaux also featuring UWB as part of its Bluetooth/UWB combo card. The newly leaked product from Dell is now revealed to possess the same UWB and WWAN connectivity, but it also boasts WLAN. Unfortunately, the filing does not give out much information on the rest of the product specifications.

The only things that can be made out from the schematics of the chassis are spaces for Intel and Microsoft labels. Of course, this implies Intel central processing units (most likely Arrandale) and the Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows 7 being the most logical option.

The device is shown to measure 13 inches and, furthermore, the fact that it is specifically aimed at use within business environments is clearly indicated by the presence of the RFID chip. This vast connectivity capability, depending on the actual computing, memory and storage abilities, will make the Lafite a suitable candidate for business use. In addition, its ultra-thin frame (as is seen in the schematics) makes it quite convenient for use on the go.

Unfortunately, as it is usually the case with FCC filings, there is no word on its availability or its price. Still, it should not be overly long before the Lafite Latitude E4310 becomes available.
