Research In Motion has been long expected to bring PlayBook versions with enhanced connectivity capabilities to the market, and it appears that the company is finally nearing the availability of these models.

Both HSPA+ and LTE-capable PlayBook versions have been spotted at the FCC, although no specific info on when they might be launched has emerged so far.

Moreover, the upcoming PlayBook flavors are also said to arrive on shelves with support for NFC connectivity.

Previously leaked details on RIM’s plans for the current year suggested that the company might launch these new tablet flavors in the middle of the year, but no confirmation has emerged so far. Stay tuned for more on this.
