The handset should start shipping soon

There's not one single person, interested in phones, that hasn't heard of the Luna yet, especially after the mobile phone was discovered on Carphone Warehouse, dubbed 'Nokia High End Fashion' and listed as coming soon.

Now the handset has also been FCC approved so the phone will definitely be on its way to shops. Of course, its FCC approval is not in the least important, since leaked photos failed to show up and Nokia seems to be taking its time in officially announcing this one.

And when talking about a phone like the 8600 Luna, design is everything that matters and features are never all that important (since the ones included are only basic to begin with).

The phone will however come with support for GSM 850 and 1900 as well as EDGE and according to previous rumors it will also include a 2 megapixel camera, 1GB internal memory and a media player allowing its users to store and play as many songs as they want.

Well, with the FCC's blessing and all, it shouldn't take the Finish manufacturer a lot of time to officially announce this handset. Will it target a main type of users? Fashion-conscious users that want an accessory instead of a phone and have probably owned a Sirocco or similar at one point in time. Having said this, the 8600 Luna will most likely sell like hot cakes. While there's no info regarding its release date, it should become available through Nokia's stores in the US and is said to come with a much lower price tag than its brother, the Nokia 8800.
