Wireless carrier T-Mobile is gearing up for the launch of its 4G LTE service in the United States, and one new handset destined to provide support for the network has received the necessary approvals from the FCC, namely the Galaxy S III.

Featuring model number SGH-T999L, the phone passed through the FCC certification process with support for LTE Band 4, as well as for LTE Band 17, in addition to offering HSPA+ 1900, 1700 and 850MHz bands connectivity.

Galaxy S III was made available for purchase at T-Mobile last year with model number SGH-T999 attached, which clearly shows that SGH-T999L is its LTE-enabled sibling, Engadget notes.

What still remains to be seen is when exactly the new mobile phone will be pushed to shelves and what new features it will pack inside when compared to the already available flavor.
