Today, Geometer Plus and Paragon Software Group, a well-known developer of software apps for mobiles, have just announced that FBReader for Android has been updated to support the latter’s Slovoed multi-language dictionaries.
The latest version of FBReader comes with the full series of Slovoed multilingual ‘talking’ premium content dictionaries. Paragon’s dictionaries are the most popular among mobile phone users, and starting this week they will be integrated with Geometer Plus’ FBReader application.
With the latest dictionaries from Paragon, Android users will be able to get instant translations and definitions of e-book text without the need to access the Internet or switch to another third-party application.
Although the e-reader is available for free, each Slovoed dictionary is offered for a certain amount. Initially, FBReader will support in-app translations in 29 languages with Slovoed dictionaries, but more may be added in the future.
Paragon offers premium content through FBReader directly from the world’s leading publishers, such as Berlitz, Merriam-Webster, Duden, PONS, Langenscheidt, Le Robert, and others.
FBReader also comes with a built-in file manager that provides users with the option to organize their personal library on any Android device by title, author, genre or series.
FBReader from Geometer Plus is now available as a free download in the Android Market and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.6 and greater.
