The FBI raided a house in Hamilton, Ohio, believed to be the residence of a hacker involved in various cyber attacks who was exposed by LulzSec a few weeks back.

LOCAL 12 News reports that agents from the FBI's Cincinnati office executed a search warrant at a house on Jackson Road in Hamilton in connection with an investigation into hacking attacks against the US and British governments.

The FBI confirmed the raid, but refused to disclose any details about the investigation. The Butler County Sheriff's Office also had officers on site but was unable to disclose additional information.

Internet observers speculate that the warrant targeted a hacker known as m_nerva whose personal information was leaked by LulzSec members earlier this month.

In the weeks before LulzSec disbanded many groups tried to expose the hacking outfit. One of the leaks included chat logs from a secret IRC channel allegedly used by the notorious hackers.

LulzSec responded by saying that the channel was only used to recruit new talent for their operations and that sensitive discussions were carried out somewhere else.

Nevertheless, the group retaliated against the person believed to have leaked the logs, a hacker named m_nerva, by publishing his personal information online.

"Despite the fact that we’re laughing heartily right now, we do take care of our subcrew, and as such the person who leaked those logs (m_nerva) has been completely hacked inside and out.

"We have all his online accounts, all his personal information, all the illegal things he’s done on record. We destroyed him so hard that he sat there apologizing to us all night on IRC for what he did," the group wrote.

LulzSec identified m_nerva as one Marshal Webb from Hamilton, Ohio, albeit living on 1204 W Main St., not Jackson Road where the FBI raid is said to have taken place.

According to the group, Webb was directly involved in the attack against the new Deus Ex website back in May, which resulted in the leak of user information. However, the FBI raid did not result in anybody being charged.
