A memo distributed by the FBI earlier this week reveals that, for the past year, Anonymous hackers have breached into the systems of several United States government agencies.

According to Reuters, the list of targets includes the Department of Energy, the Army, the Department of Health and Human Services, and other agencies.

The hacktivists are said to have stolen sensitive information from the breached computers, including financial data, and details of employees and contractors. The FBI is advising systems administrators on how to identify breaches.

Apparently, the hack attacks are connected to the case of Lauri Love, a 28-year-old man from the UK arrested and charged in October. He’s said to have hacked into the systems of NASA, the Missile Defense Agency, the Army, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Authorities say the cyberattacks he has been involved in caused damage of millions of dollars.
