It definitely leaves the Radeon R9 295 X2 graphics card in the dust

Suitcases are usually pretty straightforward in their role: to carry things in bulk, from one place to another when it would have been too troublesome and time-consuming to do it by hand. The gaming PC and hardware industries have begun to warp the meaning of the word, though.

It's probably a play on the whole concept of treasure chest. Since the world is too modern for chests or trunks, we have to resort to suitcases when we want to imply that there a “treasure” within.

We saw it with the Radeon R9 295 X2 dual-GPU graphics adapter from Advanced Micro Devices: the card ships in a “suitcase” about as big as an HTPC.

CyberPowerPC has seemingly decided that if a graphics card, on its own, is enough to be considered a treasure worthy of being “locked up in a treasure chest” so to speak, a full PC should too.

Or maybe it just got the random whim to pack a system inside a suitcase so it just went along and did it without actual prompting. That works too. On this market, looks and performance are more important than price, and conventions tend to do more harm than good.

So here we are, beholding the FANG Battlebox gaming computer, whose case is actually a black and red suitcase-like carry bag, complete with a handle on the top.

Within you'll find high-end hardware, like a quad-core CPU, dual-loop liquid cooling systems, a graphics card (even AMD's aforementioned R9 295 X2, or NVIDIA's GTX Titan Z dual-GK110) and matching storage/memory.

Indeed, the fourth-generation Haswell CPU is backed up by up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM (random access memory) and an HDD of 1 TB. All the hardware is connected by a mini-ITX motherboard.

On that note, you can, if you choose, get a hardware configuration centered around an AMD A-Series APU instead (accelerated processing unit).

Wireless AC and Bluetooth connectivity are included as a matter of course regardless of the central components, along with USB 3.0 and the Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating system.

Finally, the starting price of the CyberPowerPC FANG Battlebox is $619 / €619 (Intel Core i3-4150 Processor, 8 GB of memory, a 1 TB hard drive, and Intel HD Graphics 4400) but it can go a lot higher. We suppose it depends on how awesome you want to look at the next LAN party you're set on attending, if any.
