The development team at Codemasters has released another impressive video from the upcoming F1 2014, this time around showing Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg doing a hot lap around the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, more commonly known simply as Spa.

Spa is the venue of the Belgian Formula One Grand Prix, and the new video shows Hulkenberg flying around the track in what looks like a very realistic and immersive simulation of the actual sport.

F1 2014 includes this year’s season’s rule changes, resulting in cars that feel “radically different” to last year’s, and the racing title also includes the full updated lists of driver lineups and official circuits.

The upcoming game also features a brand-new driver evaluation system that fine-tunes the difficulty setting according to each individual player’s skill, in order to provide a challenging but fair experience to everyone, and newcomers will be able to take advantage of the new very easy mode and of a shorter career mode.

The gameplay footage video is meant to showcase the realistic driving conditions that players will be able to experience while playing the racing video game, complete with rain spatter and an exciting view from the cockpit of the single-seat racing car.

F1 2014 is currently scheduled for release on October 17, coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The franchise will not come to next-gen platforms this year, and its debut on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is scheduled to take place during next year’s season.
