14 DAY TRIAL // World renowned information security firm F-Secure has launched Safe Avenue, a new offering that’s beneficial for both consumers and operators.
Safe Avenue allows consumers to ensure that all their devices are properly secured – regardless if they’re PCs, Android devices or Macs –, and gives operators a fast and convenient way to expand their portfolios.
Consumers can now purchase a certain number of licenses from their operator, which they can apply to any of their devices. If a new devices is purchased, or one is replaced, the license can be easily transferred.
“It’s not just about the security of your home computer anymore, it’s about protecting your entire digital life, and that extends to every Internet-connected device you use,” noted Maria Nordgren, VP of Consumer Security at F-Secure.
“Most consumers own more than one device, and 53 percent of consumers replace their mobile phones every year or two. Flexibility for consumers in self-managing their device security is a must.”
It’s worth noting that iOS devices are not supported yet, but they will be in the upcoming period.
