With Client Security 7, F-Secure promises to take the level of corporate PC security to a whole new level by introducing against zero-days and rootkits. F-Secure Client Security 7 is scheduled for availability in the beginning of 2007 and will deliver support for Windows XP and Windows Vista. Client Security 7.0 will be delivered via subscriptions costing $41 per user per year, an offer limited to 50 users.

"F-Secure Client Security 7 has been designed to see beneath the surface and defend vigorously with a complete armory of defenses. With F-Secure Client Security 7 we believe we can ensure that modern day corporations who are serious about security can pursue their business with full protection," Ari Alakiuttu, Vice President of Product Marketing.

Current F-Secure customers and owners of valid F-Secure Client Security license will automatically get a free upgrade to the 7.0 version once the product will begin being delivered in the first quarter of the next year. F-Secure Client Security 7 will only run on 32-bit editions of Vista. The Kernel Patch Protection in the 64-bit editions of the operating system will render the security solution inoperable.

Until Microsoft will provide third party security developers with APIs for Vista Service Pack 1, at a date still to be disclosed, F-Secure will not offer Client Security 7 for 64-bit Vista. "We trust these new APIs Microsoft has planned will overcome the challenges of PatchGuard," added Ari Alakiuttu.
