Just a few hours ago we shared with you some of our impressions regarding one of Asus' future LGA 1155 motherboards, the P8P67 Pro, but now it's time to to go eyes-on with its older brother, the P8P67 Deluxe, that comes with a more complete feature list catering to more demanding users.

As before all these impressions come from a local Asus event where we had to opportunity of spending a few moments with these new boards.

If you have read our previous report regarding the P8P67 Pro that you pretty much know this comes with quite an impressive feature list for what is basically a mainstream motherboard, the Deluxe version adding to that.

This means that users will get an improved PWM circuity with 16+2 phases, a beefier chip cooling solution that makes use o a heatpipe to transfer the heat between three heatsinks, as well as a 3.5 inch front panel USB 3.0 box.

This connects to an USB 3.0 header placed on-board (the same header being present in the Pro version too) and adds two more Superspeed USB ports controlled by an NEC PD720200 chip, a pretty useful feature especially if your case doesn't come with such front panel connectors.

A second NEC chip is used for the backpanel USB 3.0 ports, the P8P67 Deluxe also featuring eSATA and Bluetooth connectivity as well as two Ethernet ports and a Clear CMOS backpanel switch.

As in the Pro version this too comes with an EFI BIOS as well as three PCIe x16 slots, with ample room between them, the CPU socket area being also particularly spacious, a definite plus if you want to go for an aftermarket cooler, especially a high-performance model.

TPU and EPU technologies are also on the specs list, although, this time, their placing has been changed, but, compared to the Pro version, Asus had added on-board Power and Reset switches as well as a POST code debug display, a feature that has been missed by many on Asus' previous P55 motherboards.

All of these makes the P8P67 Deluxe a far more interesting option when it comes down to overclocking compared to the Pro, especially if you don't need all the gaming features that come with owning a LGA 1155 ROG motherboard.
