After several months of watching, the company finally takes action again

Some may remember that, back in April, Eye-Fi released a memory card that removed the need for a camera to have special Wi-Fi hardware installed, as it had its own wireless capability.

The main problem with it was that its price was a bit steep: $80 / 61-80 Euro.

Eye-Fi has now revealed that the price is lower, of $60 / 46-60 Euro. Not bad for a wireless 8 GB card.

Nevertheless, 8 GB is little in today's world of 64 GB and 128 GB cards, or even more capacious ones.

Thus, though it isn't close to those levels, Eye-Fi is doing what it can: a 16 GB Eye-Fi Pro X2 Class 10 SD card is up for sale now, at $108 / 83-108 Euro.

Benefits of the products include “endless memory” (wireless copy of files to a PC/tablet so that the used space can be overwritten), WPS Geotagging and the Eye-Fi View cloud service.
