We have been hearing about laptops which enable users to control them via air gestures, but let’s take things a little further here. What if you control your tablet with your eyes?

It appears this is not the stuff of Sc-Fi anymore. All you need is the Eye Tribe Tracker for tablets, notebooks and other electronic devices. Once connected with the system via USB 3.0 the technology can track the exact point the user is focusing on, when looking at the screen.

The Eye Tribe uses infrared illumination to create a pattern of reflections. In turn, those patterns are translated into mathematical models which indicate the point of gaze.

The Eye Tribe Trackers also comes with a software development kit or SDK, so the technology can be integrated and used in apps and games as well, making the whole experience more immersive.

For the time being the product only Microsoft Windows (a custom mount for Microsoft Surface Pro is available), but the team is working on getting the Android version out as soon as possible.

Interested parties can pre-order this futuristic device for $99 / $73 a pop.
