This seems to be the week of AC1900 wireless routers, as the one Amped Wireless released is, clearly, not the only one ready to come out and rumble.

TRENDnet has also launched one, with the same performance of 1.3 Gbps over 5 GHz and 600 Mbps over 2.4 GHz.

It even has a high performance amplifier that maximizes range.

Gigabit Ethernet ports are available too, along with one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0. A 1 GHz processor runs everything.

"The average home has over eight wireless connected devices," stated Zak Wood, director of global marketing of TRENDnet. "The TEW-818DRU is designed to effortlessly handle the demands of not only today's, but also tomorrow's connected home."

TRENDnet's AC1900 router is called TEW-818DRU and has a price of $259.99 / €259.99 plus a 3-year warranty. It will sell from February onwards.
