A-DATA introduced a new cooling solution designed for the extreme performance X Series memory modules. The new  X Series version 2.0 includes four types of cooling solutions that can be installed on X Series version 2.0 heat spreaders only: active cooling, passive cooling, water cooling, and liquid cooling. Users can have a total control over their memory with the new X Series version 2.0 high performance modules which allows them to select the preferred cooling solution.

The new A-DATA product clocks at DDR3-1600 CL7-7-7-20 by 1.75V~1.85V and can be acquired as 1GB x 2 and 2GB x 2 dual-channel kits. The new X Series version 2.0 heat spreader also feature 2.4W/mK high performance heat conductive thermal pad, two times the 1.2 W/mK thermal conductivity performance of any other solution.

The new product features A-DATA OC verified DDR3 IC and Dual Blue LED Fan (3500RPM, 50 x 50 mm, 21.8dB noise level and high performance cooling heat spreader with 2.4W/mK high conductive thermal pad), is optimized for 64-bit operation systems and has backward compatibility with DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1066.

The new A-DATA X Series version 2.0 heat spreader 2/4GB dual channel module kit has been tested at 1600 MHz 7-7-7-20 by 1.75V~1.85V, 100% tested at Intel P45, X48 and NVIDIA 790i chipset motherboards. The test included SPD (Serial Presence Detect) programmed at JEDEC standard DDR3-1333 CL 9-9-9.

According to A-DATA, the X Series memory modules represent the ultimate in overclocking performance. The use of A-DATA’s latest overclocking IC sorting technology allows the X Series to take full advantage of the power of the processor and motherboard. The company offers lifetime limited warranty for the product and announced recommended retail prices of $250 for the DDR3-1600X Ver2.0, 1GBx2 Kit and $400 for the DDR3-1600X Ver2.0, 2GBx2 Kit.

The OC team, an independent unit within A-DATA, tested the X Series version 2.0 both in high performance mode and power saving mode. The results are available here.
