After China's “Shamate” community, Japan shocks with its own extreme fashion addicts in the shape of young girls turning into pink, charm-holding, Hello Kitty, walking billboards.

Pictures of incredibly long finger nails completely covered in pink charms made it all over the social media sites, but the rest of the outfit was yet to be revealed as a purely shocking overdose of, well, everything girly.

The huge celebration of young people turning into adults on their 20th birthday brought some bizarre outfits in the Japanese landscape. Images of girls wearing incredibly colored and short kimonos, gigantic hairdos adorned with jewelry, flowers and even stuffed teddy bears and with enormous fingernails covered in all of the above have turned viral.

The Coming of Age Day in Japan is an important event, held in the second Monday of January and celebrating young adults who just turned twenty in the previous year, notes Rocket News.

The usual women's outfit for the event is a traditional kimono, make up and curly hair, painted fingernails and beautiful accessories, but this year, two young women decided to take the trend to extreme lengths.

The first participant, going on Twitter by the name Harutamu, decided to go all the way with an eye-hurting outfit, too pink and just too much: a flower-themed, lace-detailed, modern kimono, a gigantic hairdo with teddy bears in it – all pink-colored, of course – plus some gigantic fingernails holding dozens of charms, and making her hand unusable.

The second extreme fashionista, Twitter user called Richu, Harutamu's friend, could not resist the will to compete with her friend's outfit and opted for a less pink, but still extreme, look: powerful red hair flashing a big Hello Kitty doll and adorned with feathers and even more charms hanging on her lengthy fingernails.

But their shocking outfits are not so bizarre, for them at least, as they are part of a group of ladies who pride themselves in wearing jaw-dropping extreme makeovers that words really cannot describe. The “gyaru” group, or Black Diamond ladies as they usually call themselves, are fashion addicted young women differentiated from the other ladies of their age by everything under the label of extreme.
